Small to medium gardens

Garden Design in a Day

New to the Innes Design Studio offering, Garden Design in a Day is the perfect solution for smaller gardens and budgets.

Unlock the potential of your garden with a design that makes the most of your space, identifies money-saving opportunities, and helps you avoid costly pitfalls.

After a collaborative face-to-face consultation, you’ll walk away with a clear, professional design plan. You can then choose to bring it to life yourself, or we can help you turn your design into reality.

How it works

Garden Design in a Day is a focused, enjoyable design session held in your own garden.

We’ll spend the day together walking through your space, discussing your ideas and priorities, and sketching out concepts. By the end of the session, you’ll have a tailored plan that shows what’s possible and how to achieve it.

This isn’t about quick fixes or cookie-cutter layouts. It’s a professional design process condensed into a single, collaborative day.

Transparent costs

We know that budgets matter, which is why we keep pricing simple.

The design consultation fee will be set up-front and we’ll create the best garden possible with the budget available.

Your Garden Design in a Day session will include: a full day on-site, a tailored design plan and build pack to take away, plus a planting plan and materials selection guide.

No hidden extras - just clear, practical advice and a design that will save you time, stress and money down the line.

What you’ll get

By the end of the process, you’ll have:

  • A concept plan tailored to your space (delivered same-day or the following day).

  • Planting ideas that balance aesthetics, biodiversity and budget.

  • A plan that’s ready to pass to landscapers that includes levels and drainage, paving, electrics and fencing plans.

  • The confidence to move forward with your garden transformation, whether you proceed all at once or plan your build in phases.

Following your Garden Design in a Day, you can progress with a DIY project or we can help implement the plan - the choice is yours.

Testimonials

“When adding a garden room to our small city garden we used Jamie to transform the outdoor space left - somehow it feels bigger and looks great! Jamie's creativity and knowledge of plants is impressive and he is a real pleasure to work with - I would recommend highly.”

— Alec J

“Jamie designed and oversaw the landscaping of our front and rear gardens. Both are quite small and had a few interesting plants that we wanted to keep, as well as some old paving slabs we wanted to recycle. With great skill and professionalism, he has created two wonderful gardens…combining the best of modern landscaping with traditional planting. He also went to tender on our behalf, and we were delighted with the choice of landscaper with whom he worked extremely well. We cannot speak highly enough of Jamie and his tremendous skill.”
